Make Someone Happy Or Not

Information & policies

Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to content created or shared through Make Someone Happy Or Not and to use of the Service. It forms part of our Terms of Use.

1. Keep surprises welcome

Make Someone Happy Or Not is intended for playful, welcome and respectful communication. Humor, romance, sarcasm and edgy language must not become threats, abuse or unwanted targeted contact.

You are responsible for your submitted names, messages and other choices, and for sharing the link appropriately. Do not use the Service to contact someone who has asked you to stop, evade their boundaries or disclose information that you have no lawful right to share.

2. Not allowed

  • Threats, stalking, bullying, targeted harassment or encouragement of violence against a person or group.

  • Hate or discrimination based on protected characteristics.

  • Sexual content involving minors, sexual exploitation or non-consensual intimate content.

  • Impersonation, fraud, phishing, malware, deceptive links or attempts to collect passwords, payment credentials or other confidential information.

  • Publishing private, sensitive or confidential information without lawful authority, including information about another person.

  • Copyright, trademark or other rights infringement.

  • Automated spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, scraping or other interference with the Service.

  • Guessing, enumerating or otherwise attempting to discover other people's surprise links without authorization, bypassing access restrictions or circumventing security controls.

  • Fraudulent exploitation of payments, coupons, refund requests or technical vulnerabilities.

  • Any other use for an unlawful purpose.

A surprise being unlisted or accessible only through its URL does not make prohibited content acceptable. Purchasing a link or redeeming a coupon does not exempt its content from these rules.

3. Reporting content

A recipient, rights holder or other concerned person can report content through our Contact page or by emailing info@makesomeonehappyornot.com.

Please provide:

  • The relevant surprise URL, so we can locate the content.

  • A clear explanation of what you believe is unlawful, abusive or otherwise contrary to this policy.

  • Relevant context or supporting information. For a rights-infringement report, explain the rights concerned and whether you act for the rights holder.

  • Contact information for follow-up, where appropriate. When reporting allegedly illegal content, include a statement that you believe the information in your report is accurate and complete.

Do not send passwords, full card details or unnecessary sensitive information. Do not copy or attach unlawful sexual material involving minors; identify the relevant URL and explain the concern instead.

4. Review and enforcement

Reports and content decisions are reviewed manually. We do not routinely review every personalized surprise before its link becomes accessible. Technical input validation, spam checks and rate limits are not a guarantee that every submitted message has been assessed for compliance.

We may take lawful, necessary and proportionate action based on the content, context, severity, risk of harm and applicable legal obligations. This may include restricting or disabling a surprise link, removing content, or restricting access to protect the Service and affected people.

Where necessary and lawful, relevant existing records or information supplied with a report may be retained as evidence or disclosed to competent authorities. This is not permission for indefinite retention of all content or visitor information. Personal-data processing and retention remain subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

A report does not automatically remove content or reverse a payment. Decisions about restrictions and any applicable consumer remedies are assessed separately. Nothing in this policy removes mandatory rights described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Questions and review of a decision

If your content or link has been restricted and you believe the decision was mistaken, you may ask us to review it through the same Contact page or email. Identify the relevant URL or order reference and explain why you believe the restriction should be reconsidered. A request does not automatically restore access.

Where applicable law requires notices, explanations, complaint procedures or other remedies, those rights remain unaffected by this policy. Nothing prevents you from contacting competent authorities or using legally available dispute-resolution mechanisms.
