Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Make Someone Happy Or Not uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device. They can help maintain a session, protect forms, remember preferences or measure visits. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, may also be used by service providers.
Our application's cookie-notice and analytics choices are stored in cookies, not local storage. Server-side sessions, caches and temporary security counters are separate from cookies stored on your device.
2. Essential cookies and preference cookies
The application uses first-party cookies for sessions, form security and your cookie choices. Session functions support checkout continuity, My surprises access and administrator authentication. Disabling these cookies may prevent requested functions from working.
The following cookies are set by Make Someone Happy Or Not on its website:
make-someone-happy-or-not-session: maintains the application's session, including temporary form state and authenticated access where applicable. Its configured lifetime is 120 minutes, refreshed through continued use.
XSRF-TOKEN: supports protection against cross-site request forgery when forms or authenticated requests are submitted. Its configured lifetime is 120 minutes, refreshed with the session.
msh_cookie_notice: remembers that you have handled the cookie notice. It lasts for 7 days after the choice is saved. This cookie does not, by itself, indicate acceptance of analytics.
msh_analytics_consent: remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. It lasts for 7 days after the choice is saved. Remembering this choice does not itself perform analytics tracking.
The session and security cookies do not constitute permission for optional analytics. Cookie lifetimes may be shorter if you delete cookies or your browser restricts storage. These lifetimes are separate from the availability period of a purchased surprise link.
3. Payment services
When a card payment is needed, checkout redirects you to the active payment provider's hosted page, currently Stripe or Worldline/Cardlink. We do not embed a card-entry form in our website. A valid 100% coupon redemption does not require a card payment.
The payment provider and any available wallet, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link, may use their own cookies or similar technologies for transaction processing, authentication and fraud prevention. The technologies and their lifetimes depend on the provider, payment method, browser and device. Their use on the hosted payment page is governed by the relevant provider's notices.
Our analytics choice does not control the payment provider's separate hosted page. For Stripe, see its Cookies Policy. For another active payment provider or wallet, consult the notices supplied on its payment page.
4. Analytics and optional technologies
The application supports optional Google Analytics. It is used only when enabled in our settings and you have chosen Accept analytics. Before that choice, our application does not load the Google Analytics tag. Choosing Only necessary does not prevent you from creating or purchasing a surprise or using essential functions.
The application loads its Google Analytics tag only on eligible public pages, such as the creator's initial page, FAQ and information pages. It does not load that tag on surprise links, payment pages, My surprises or Admin pages, or pages containing sensitive submitted form context. The application's analytics events concern public page views rather than personalized surprise content or private links.
If analytics is enabled and accepted, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies on our domain, including:
_ga: identifies a browser for visitor measurement.
ga<identifier>: maintains analytics session information for the relevant Google Analytics property. The suffix depends on the property.
Google Analytics uses a default cookie expiration of two years, which can be renewed on subsequent eligible visits. Google Analytics settings and browser restrictions can change or shorten that period. This is separate from our seven-day consent-choice cookie. See Google's cookie-expiration documentation and cookie configuration guidance.
Our application disables Google advertising signals and advertising-personalization signals in its analytics configuration. When analytics is disabled in our settings, an earlier analytics choice does not cause our application to load the tag.
5. Your cookie choices
You can reopen Cookie settings from the website menu to accept or reject optional analytics. Closing the notice without making a choice is not analytics consent. If your choice expires or you delete its cookie, you may be asked again.
When you choose Only necessary, the application saves the rejection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies. If its analytics tag has already loaded on the current page, the page is reloaded to stop the running tag. A reload can discard unsaved form changes.
Withdrawal stops future loading by our application; it does not automatically delete information already processed by Google. Cookie settings apply to our analytics choice, not to separate payment-provider pages or browser-level privacy settings.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. This may sign you out, interrupt an unfinished checkout or reset preferences. Deleting cookies is not a request to delete stored orders, receipts or other personal data; see our Privacy Policy for those rights.

7. Other third-party technologies
When enabled, the Contact form uses hCaptcha for spam and abuse prevention. Its security check may use cookies or similar device and browser technologies, and verification can involve the request IP address. The relevant technologies depend on hCaptcha's implementation. See the hCaptcha Privacy Policy.
The website's analytics choice does not enable or disable the Contact form's hCaptcha security check. Hosting infrastructure may also use technical security mechanisms. These are separate from optional Google Analytics and from technologies used on the payment provider's hosted page.
Cookie expiry, browser removal and provider retention of information are not the same thing. Providers may retain information under their applicable privacy terms after a device cookie expires. Our Privacy Policy explains relevant personal-data processing and recipients.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our technology, providers or legal obligations change. A previous analytics choice does not constitute consent to a new, unrelated optional purpose.
9. Contact
For questions about cookies or personal data, email info@makesomeonehappyornot.com or use our Contact page. The Service operator is BY JOANNA THE BEAUTY SPOT. Full controller identification and further privacy contact details are provided in our Privacy Policy.
